Family Members Can Share a Lane!

|

We have great news about the pool! We hear you and understand how challenging making a pool reservation can be. We have been working diligently with local and state agencies to do everything we can to accommodate as many swimmers as possible.

Starting Monday, October 5, 2020, the JCC has been authorized by the Department of Health (DOH) to allow families in the same household to share a lane; max two swimmers per lane. Only one reservation per household is required when making a reservation.

For your safety and security, COVID contact tracing purposes, and to follow protocols from DOH, both swimmers attending the reservation must check-in at the Main Desk. Both swimmers must be an active member of the JCC.

To continue to social distance from swimmers in neighboring lanes, those sharing a lane should not swim side by side; instead, continue to swim in the center of the lane, passing the other swimmer to the side as needed, then continue swimming in the center of the lane. We highly recommend those sharing a lane with a household member to use lanes 1 or 5.

If members need to rest in the shallow end, please do not wait along the wall, instead, stand in the middle of the lane on the black line to allow for social distancing to the lanes on either side of you.

Swim reservations remain limited to only 3 times per week and for ages 18+. Reservations are required. If you’re unable to make your reservation, ensure to cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow other members an opportunity to enjoy a swim!
