Adaptive and Inclusive Fitness/Swim

Tuesdays, September 3-October 8; 11:30-12:30 pm
Join Frank D., a certified adaptive trainer, for a class that is specifically designed for people with neurodegenerative challenges. This class will focus on aerobic conditioning, joint strengthening, balance work, and stretching while fostering a sense of community amongst participants.
Exercises will be taught from a chair so each participant must be able to sit independently on a chair. Contact [email protected] for additional questions.
Adaptive Swim Lessons
Have you been interested in swim lessons for a child with a disability? We are thrilled to announce that we now have three swim instructors who are certified in the “Swim Angelfish methodology,” providing adaptive lessons to individuals with anxiety, attention difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder, sensory challenges, coordination problems, physical disabilities, and more. emPOWER (Ages 11+)*

We are excited to offer another session of the much-loved emPOWER fitness class. Led by Frank D’Efuemia, a certified adaptive fitness trainer with experience in creating inclusive workout environments, emPOWER is designed to meet each person where they are based on their abilities. Frank’s compassionate and motivating approach ensures that everyone, regardless of their fitness level or physical capability, feels welcome and supported.

Join us for our monthly Friday night free-swim to families who have an immediate member with a disability. The pool will be exclusively reserved for this event, so that we can ensure a sensory-friendly pool environment for a fun family night out! Register in the calendar below!
