The J offers quality, robust extracurricular programs for school-aged children taught by specialized and experienced partners. Options include sports, art, gymnastics, STEAM, dance, swim, karate, performing arts, and more.

Select classes are eligible for our flexible after-school program Club J, which provides busing and childcare before and after the extracurricular activity the children enrolled in (Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow and Irvington school districts only). These classes are indicated with (**).

Please see below for class schedules and class descriptions. Important: youth group swim lessons are on a different calendar cycle. The most current schedule of group swim classes can be found here.

Children enrolled in our afterschool program Almost Home may register for extracurricular activities with a 10% discount. Children in Almost Home and Club J will be walked to extracurriculars by their counselors; full-day Early Childhood Center children will be walked to their extracurriculars by their teacher or assistant director. Important:

Our winter extracurricular session for school-aged children will run from January 6 until March 28, with a few exceptions. Please see individual classes for exact dates.
There will NOT be programs on the following dates: Monday, January 20; Wednesday, January 29, and the week of February 17-21.

If a class is already in session and space is available, you may register at a prorated fee at the instructor’s discretion. Late registrations cannot register online. Please email [email protected] or call the Welcome Desk at 914.918.3068.

Club J Registration Information

Due to high demand and limited space, we will be using an application form for winter Club J which runs from January 6-March 28. Club J is open to children in grades 1-5.

Ensure you’re registered in the extracurricular programs you’re interested in before applying.
Fill out the application form.
The application period is:Opens: Friday, 11/22 at 9 am
Closes: Monday, 11/25 at 10 pm
After applications close, we’ll review submissions, with priority first-come, first-serve basis, and place students based on availability on buses and in classrooms.
If accepted:
- You’ll receive an email with a link and will have 24 hours to enroll.
- Those not selected will be added to a waitlist.
- If you don’t secure a Club J spot and are therefore unable to attend the extracurricular class without it, we’ll offer a refund.
Please submit a separate form for each child.
