Donation Drive for the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore
Help us bring joy to the young patients at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. With donations of art kits, puzzles, disco balls, and more, our Generation Forward teen volunteers will assemble “boredom boxes” full of activities to provide child patients entertainment and “prom swag bags” for a special annual dance for youth receiving treatment. We’ve made donating simple; purchase an item from our Amazon list and it will be delivered directly to the J.
Spring Clean and Support a Good Cause
We’ll be collecting used Legos and Duplo blocks for Brick It Again, which provides employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. As a retail storefront business, Brick it Again provides hands-on vocational training for individuals with mental health challenges, disabilities, and chronic conditions to help them develop marketable skills in a community-based setting that prepare them to advance in their careers and gain greater independence.
Volunteer Opportunity: Make Blankets for Project Linus
Join us for an afternoon of tikkun olam. We’ll make no-sew fleece blankets for Project Linus, which provides handmade blankets to children in the United States who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. These blankets provide children with a sense of security, warmth, and comfort. Blankets are simple to make all materials are provided.
