Important Pool Alert: The small pool is temporarily closed due to a mechanical issue. We are awaiting a replacement part and hope to reopen the pool as soon as possible. We will notify members when it reopens. The large pool remains open. Facility Improvement Update: We uncovered additional work during the renovation of the ladies' locker room, so the showers and sauna will now reopen on Monday, July 27. The rest of the locker room will remain open, and the family changing room shower will continue to be available. Thank you for your patience.

Summer Internship

LIFT Internship Program (Ages 18+)

Friday, June 19–Friday, August 7; 9:30 am–3:30 pm
FREE for members & non-members

The LIFT (Leadership, Internship, Friendship, Transition) internship program provides a comprehensive and inclusive learning experience where participants with varying abilities will cultivate essential work skills and prepare for successful employment opportunities. Participants will hone vocational skills in food service, childcare, and groundskeeping/custodial services.

From group tasks to learning how to navigate workplace conversations, to real-world opportunities for practice, each aspect of the curriculum is meticulously crafted to foster development of practical skills and confidence in the workplace environment.

Each day, interns will participate in two hands-on working sessions, completing different tasks and complete one educational session that focuses on workplace soft skills.

In addition to the internship experience, each participant will be paired with a job coach who will offer personalized guidance and mentorship throughout the 7 weeks. From resume refinement to interview preparation, our job coaches are committed to equipping participants with the tools and knowledge necessary to excel in their job search.

Please note:

  • Interns have the option to choose Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday: day choices are first come, first serve
  • Potential applicants must be able to be successful in a 1:6 environment.
  • All interviews will be in person
  • A conversation with a caregiver and the completion of our background form is required for enrollment into the program.
