Dr. Weissman is the Founding President and Chief Psychologist of The Child & Family Institute. He is a renowned Harvard-trained pediatric psychologist with a mission to advance mental health access through community action, innovation, and compassionate, data-driven care. Dr. Weissman is a foremost expert in the assessment and treatment of pediatric anxiety, depression, attention, habit, and behavior disorders, including the development of a new Compassion-Focused Parent Therapy and Worry Monster book series for young children.
Additionally, Dr.Weissman is an adjunct professor at Columbia University-Teacher’s College and past-president of the Westchester County Psychological Association. Through the Child & Family Institute, he can offer families and individuals over 50 mental and behavioral health programs and specialists, cutting-edge clinical research and training programs, and large-scale pro bono initiatives for families in crisis through the Weissman Children’s Foundation. He is a prolific author and researcher, and the recent recipient of Westchester County’s “Healthcare Hero”, 40 Under 40, and Public Health Awards, as well as the American Psychological Association’s Distinguished Contributions to Practice Award—the field’s highest honor.
Richard (“Rick”) Jaime-Bettan is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who seeks to create a warm, welcoming environment conducive to self-reflection, growth, and positive change. He employs a person-centered approach and several evidence based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Problem Solving Therapy (PST), Narrative Therapy (NT), and exposure therapy. Rick has experience working with young adults struggling with ADHD, anxiety and depression, autism spectrum disorder. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Brown University, JD in 2005 from the University of Virginia School of Law, and his MSW from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in 2021.
