This 45-minute class is a great opportunity for parents to guide their toddlers through the exploration of materials perfectly suited to their innate interests. They’ll be drawing with special crayons that glide on the page, using stamps big enough for feet and hands, watercolors that vividly demonstrate color-mixing, glue that’s easy to spread, fabric that’s soft and bright in color, scissors that are easier to hold, and the list goes on and on. We make it a priority to seek out the best art materials for our youngest artists! Every material and project is carefully selected to complement the unique characteristics that define “toddlerhood”.
15 Wednesdays, 3:05–3:50 pm, September 14–January 11
Members: $420, Nonmembers: $462
In this 45-minute class, preschoolers explore collage, painting, drawing, sculpture, and printmaking. Every project is multi-layered and completed over a series of several classes ending with an art show at the conclusion of the project where we begin to verbalize our process. One of the most important goals we have for our pre-scribblers is to learn how to work amongst and collaborate with other artists in the studio.
About Scribble Art Workshop

“We’re creating masters, not copying them.”
6 Thursdays, 4:05–4:50 pm, September 15–November 3

Fall Fun with Wild Art and Play! The colors, textures, and transitions of Autumn will be our sensory-rich focus. We’ll play with late-blooming flowers, changing leaves, and a variety of local seed pods and then let the season’s offerings inspire our process-oriented art-making. We will draw, paint, and make collages with both store-bought and handmade art materials. This class combines four things that children love; being outdoors, examining nature, experimenting with art materials, and playing with friends.

About Wild Play
Wild Play was founded by Melissa Lohman-Wild, an early childhood with an interest in nature-connected exploration, creative communication, and intergenerational collaboration. Before pivoting to working with children, she was a teaching artist in documentary production, training New York City teens to produce stories about themselves and their communities and worked in film and television production. She has taught in preschools, elementary schools, studio schools, summer camps, community centers, libraries, playgrounds, backyards, and in the woods.

Our combined Science/Art sensory classes are perfect for ages 2-5! In our classes, we start with circle time, where we warm up with some movement, listen to a book reading about the topic of the day, and then get started on our project. We will cover many fun and exciting topics such as snowflakes, volcanoes, the solar system, dinosaurs, rainbows, and more! Learn more about Shake it off!
