Launchpoint: Childcare Track (ages 21+)

Program Highlights:
● Curriculum: Learn the basics of childcare with topics including health and safety, child development 101, effective communication, and supervision of children. We’ll also cover essential soft skills to help each student succeed in a professional setting.
● Hands-on Experience: Gain practical experience through internship hours at our JCC, and apply what you’ve learned in a real-world setting.
● 1:1 Job Coaching: Receive personalized job coaching from a vocational coach experienced in working with individuals with all abilities, ensuring you have the support needed to succeed.
● Total Training Hours: Complete a total of 44 hours of training.
● Certification and Recommendations: Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a certificate of completion from the Child Care Council of Westchester and a letter of recommendation from the JCC.
Prospective interns are required to complete an application to be considered for the program. After submitting the application, candidates will be contacted to schedule an interview. Upon completion of the interview process, final selections will be made through a lottery system.
