About the Shames JCC Special Needs Programming
Our specialized social and recreation programs offer opportunities where individuals with varying abilities can come together to socialize, learn, and thrive. These programs are intentionally designed to support our participants’ continued development of social, emotional, and life skills. These offerings are only open to those within our community that have a disability.
Featured Programs
Funding for the specialized social and recreational programs is provided through generous grants from the J.E. and Z.B. Butler Foundation, UJA Federation New York, the Department of Community Mental Health of Westchester County, New York State Council on the Arts, Clarfeld Family Foundation, ArtsWestchester, Westchester County Board of Legislators, Foundation for Empowering Citizens with Autism, Henry J. Niles Foundation, Warner Fund, and individual contributions.
