UP on Sundays Program (Ages 7 – 25; participants are grouped by age)

Sundays, 11:00 AM-2:00 PM, Feb 12 – May 21, 2023
Members: $500, Nonmembers: $600

UP on Sundays is a social and life skills learning program geared towards children, teens, and young adults on the autism spectrum or with related supportive needs. It is organized according to age, enabling staff to focus on varying needs and help cultivate peer-to-peer relationships. Staff ratio is 3:1.

Younger participants engage in entertaining, engaging, and intentional programming that encourages each participant to learn new skills, build self-confidence, enhance social skills and increase self-awareness and emotional expression.

For older participants, we cultivate peer-to-peer relationships, create social justice experiences, and work on pre-vocational and life skills, where each participant practices the necessary skill sets that encourage them to reach their most independent potentials.

Please note: Enrollment for new participants is dependent upon an intake process with a member from the Supportive Services Department. A member of our team will reach out to you to schedule an appointment upon registration.

Program Dates: Jan 11th, Feb 15th, Mar 15th, Apr 19th, May 17th

Join other adult siblings of brothers and sisters who have been identified as having disabilities or challenges of all kinds, and who understand the experiences and stressors that often face families like yours. The combined expertise of the facilitators and the siblings’ personal experiences provide support, resources, and connections as we build our SibSpace community together.

This is a closed group where registrants are expected to attend all five sessions. Discussions are kept confidential. Please note that all support groups will take place on Zoom until further notice.

This program will take place virtually over Zoom. You will receive a confirmation email including the Zoom link and password. If you do not receive the Zoom link, or have any questions, please contact Caitlin McInerney at [email protected].

SibSpace is made possible with generous support from the J.E. & Z.B. Butler Foundation

The class will consist of a variety of recipes specially developed by Amy. At the conclusion of cooking, the group will eat the creation together in a lunch setting.
