NEW! Spousal/Partner Loss Bereavement Support Group

Wednesdays, April 22-June 10; 1:00-2:30 pm

$144 for members, $200 non-members

Losing a spouse/partner is one of life’s most profound losses. In partnership with WJCS, we are grateful to offer a new space for bereavement support. Our new 8 week spousal-loss bereavement support group provides participants a facilitated space to understand the impact of grief, connect with others facing similar life circumstances, and begin to look toward the future with purpose and meaning. Intake required prior to joining; please contact Annie Bridson, Director of Supportive Services at abridson@shamesjcc.org or (914) 847-9010 if you are interested.

About the facilitator: Sarah Lieberman, LMSW, is a social worker devoted to helping people navigate some of life’s greatest challenges. For over 30 years, she has supported individuals and families facing serious illness, caregiving, end-of-life and loss and bereavement. Sarah has worked in a variety of settings including a long-term care facility, social service agencies, a retirement community and in private practice, providing both individual and group support. She most recently worked for 10 years at Westchester Jewish Community Services. Sarah has an MSW from University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Psychology from Vassar College.
