Our state-of-the-art 6,000 square foot Fitness Center is filled with the latest equipment with plenty of room to social distance.

With new protocols and procedures in place, we are very excited to see members return to our treadmills, bicycles, and other equipment that helps people get healthy and stay healthy.

If you would like to arrange for a tour of the facility, please reach out to Lisa Bruskin, director of membership engagement.

Safety is our number one priority

We’ve made some adjustments to our Fitness Center to keep people safe while maintaining their health:

  • All equipment is spaced for safe distancing
  • Merv-13 filters have been installed in the HVAC system
  • The layout has been redesigned for easier flow—arrows direct people to avoid contact
  • Capacity is limited to 33% and reservations are required. No more waiting for the machine you want anymore!
  • Our staff is continuously cleaning (as are members wiping down machines) and the center is closed every 90 minutes for a deep cleaning
  • You will find more staff ensuring everyone’s safety—be sure to say hello and ask any questions!
  • Everyone is wearing a mask. The JCC is strict with our COVID policies and makes sure all members are following them. And so far, no one has complained about working out in a mask so don’t let that intimidate you!

Please be aware that:

  • Walk-ins cannot be accommodated.
  • Reservations are made in 90-minute slots
  • Equipment will be wiped down and disinfected between each reservation.
  • Social distance guidelines will be applied to all activities including significant space between exercise equipment.

Also in accordance with COVID-19 mandates, masks must be worn at all times, including when exercising. Gaiters, buffs, and bandannas are not allowed in place of a 3-ply face mask.

We will ask participants to monitor their heart rate and breathing to ensure safe and successful workouts. Fitness Center users will have access to indoor restrooms and locker rooms (for changing), though lockers, showers, and saunas will remain closed. Open cubbies will be available outside of the Fitness Center for personal items, which will also be wiped down between reservations. Please be aware that cubbies will not be monitored by staff.
