Supervisor of Facilities

The Shames JCC on the Hudson is a non-sectarian community center providing meaningful experiences for individuals and families throughout their lives. The Supervisor of Facilities supports a positive environment for members, visitors, and colleagues. They are responsible for providing outstanding customer service, facilitating a warm, friendly, responsive community experience throughout the entire JCC. The Shames JCC is open 7 days a week for a total of 110 hours and beyond for events.

Job Responsibilities:

·         Sets up for events and programs that take place Saturday, Sunday, and later day shifts

·         Supervises custodial and facilities hourly personnel (approx. 20 staff)

·         Supervises special projects and department needs

·         Supply management

·         Supervises work orders to completion

·         Supports event day staff as needed

·         CDL B passenger endorsement school bus preferred

·         Any other duties as they come up

Skills and Qualifications

·         Hours of work are weekends and late nights

·         Prior supervisory experience

·         Excellent attention to detail

·         Janitorial and maintenance experience preferred

·         Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment

·         Experience in customer service and hospitality required

·         The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasional work on ladders and moving items over fifty pounds utilizing a team lift.

·         Associates or Bachelor’s degree or two or more years of relevant experience preferred.

 

Salary: Base salary of $50,000 for full time 40 hour a week position with industry leading benefits
