Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia

The presentation includes a basic introduction to Alzheimer’s and dementia, warning signs, current methods for diagnosis and treatment options, strategies for maintaining a healthy brain, and more. You’ll leave equipped with essential information and resources to help yourself or a loved one.

About the presenter: Jess Flores is the Senior Manager for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley Chapter. She is dedicated to providing educational resources that improve the understanding of Alzheimer’s and various types of dementia across all communities. In 2018, Jess experienced the loss of her father to Alzheimer’s disease. This personal experience has enriched her appreciation for the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission to improve the quality of life for those impacted by Alzheimer’s and their caregivers.
