In this hybrid talk and performance, saxophonist Albert Rivera and guitarist Doug Munro will discuss the great American jazz composers and perform some of their most notable songs. Composers will include Duke Ellington, Sidney Bechet, Benny Goodman, Wayne Shorter, Django Reinhart, and others. You’ll hear about the composers’ unique styles as well as the historic impact they had in their time.
