Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a meaningful day trip to Philadelphia, where Jewish history and the American Revolution come to life.
Our day begins with a tour and lunch at the historic Congregation Mikveh Israel, the nation’s oldest continually-used synagogue. Afterwards, we’ll walk through the nearby Old City with historian (and world famous Ben Franklin impersonator!) Mitchell Kramer, who makes Revolutionary-era Philadelphia come alive Then we’ll enjoy a private, docent-led tour at the Weitzman Museum of American Jewish History. Our full day ends with stories and reflections over a relaxed, Mediterranean dinner at Estia Restaurant.
This experience includes round-trip transportation from the J by comfortable coach bus, all admission fees, lunch, and a 3-course dinner. Please note: while there are opportunities to sit, participants should be comfortable walking between nearby sites.
