The Extended Family: Community Giving

The Extended Family’s Community Giving Program (21+)

Tuesdays, 11:00 am–1:00 pm
$50/hour (option to sign up hourly or for entire shift)

The J is partnering with The Extended Family, a community organization that supports adults with disabilities by providing meaningful engagement and community service opportunities. This fall, The Extended Family will be bringing their Community Giving Cupboard program to J. Participants will be working as a team to pack and distribute Meals-in-a-Bag to local community organizations and food pantries.

Our hope is that this initiative will not only help our community but will support participants by strengthening their creative and social skills in an environment that focuses on what they CAN do rather than what they cannot.
