The JCC Book Club is a group for people who love to read and discuss books. We meet every 4–6 weeks in the evening to discuss a different book, chosen by the group. Have fun this summer learning improv games and exercises that will spark your imagination, inspire creativity, and build problem-solving, and communication skills. You’ll create on-the-spot actions, characters, sounds, movements, and scenes designed to build positive group dynamics and trust.
About the instructor: Andy Wainer has studied, taught, performed and directed improv for over 30 years. A retired educator and career counselor, Andy has taught all levels of students as well as at organizations such as area libraries, Westchester Community College, Make a Wish Foundation and more.

Join Jill Geddes and our community of ukulele enthusiasts as we strum our way through simple songs. The focus is on fun in this relaxed and supportive class. A ukulele will be provided or you may bring your own. Some ukulele experience strongly recommended!

Teaching artist Erin Carney will cover composition, color mixing, value and color development, and a variety of paint application strategies and techniques. Participants will complete in-class studies as well as self-guided painting. This class is for everyone, whether you’re just starting, dusting off, or amplifying your painting practice.

Whether you want to learn about mixing colors, perfect your painting techniques, or just enjoy a night out with friends, this class will focus on the basics of watercolor painting and explore additional materials to enhance your work.
