Juneteenth at the J

We’ll be observing Juneteenth at the J with cultural activities for kids and adults and a community picnic. Adults can join a free special hour-long soul line dance with Steven “Fun Bunch” Dillard, with energizing, uplifting, and easy-to-follow dance experience to lively music.

Children will rotate between stations where they will make percussion instruments using everyday objects, learn to play traditional African music, engage in a lesson on Juneteenth’s history and participate in an interactive trivia game. Bring your own blankets and lunch and join us after on our quad!
