The Shames JCC is honored to present a series of thoughtfully curated exhibitions celebrating the creativity of our community. Through painting, photography, drawing, printmaking, and mixed media, artists explore themes of place, identity, and connection. From artistic explorations to contemporary dialogue and the inclusive spirit of our annual Community Art Exhibition, these programs highlight the diverse artistic voices that shape and reflect our region.
Senior Director of Youth and Arts Programs
The Shames JCC is proud to present Scenes of the Hudson Valley, an exhibition celebrating the beauty and spirit of our local environment. Artists are invited to submit artwork that depicts or interprets Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow, and the greater Hudson Valley through any two-dimensional medium—including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, and collage. Both abstract and representational works are welcome, and a small committee will select pieces for inclusion in this curated portrait of our community.
We respectfully acknowledge that the Shames JCC sits on the ancestral and unceded land of the Munsee Lenape people. We honor their enduring connection to this land and recognize the deep history that continues to shape our region.

Shared Space is a year-long exhibition in the Cohen Family Atrium featuring a small group of 2–4 artists selected by a curatorial committee. Each artist will contribute a focused body of large-scale work, presented together in conversation within the shared space of the atrium. This exhibition highlights the relationships between distinct artistic practices, exploring how individual voices can coexist, contrast, and connect within a single environment.
