This class, led by Frank D’Efuemia, is intentionally designed for people with neurodegenerative challenges. It will focus on aerobic conditioning, joint strengthening, balance work, and stretching, while fostering a sense of community amongst participants.
Please note, each participant must be able to sit independently on a chair. Once registered, we will schedule a phone call to learn more about you and how we can support you within the class.
Have you been interested in swim lessons for a child with a disability? We are thrilled to announce that we now have three swim instructors who are certified in the “Swim Angelfish methodology,” providing adaptive lessons to individuals with anxiety, attention difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder, sensory challenges, coordination problems, physical disabilities, and more. If you are interested in learning more and seeing if our instructors are the right fit for your family’s needs, contact aquatics@shamesjcc.org.
