Join Pablo and Anna Mayor of Folklore Urbano NYC for a fun and unique music experience! Participants will move to the beat and sing songs inspired by the diverse traditions of Colombia, including the well known rhythm of “Cumbia!”

Join us for a relaxed summer cooking class focused on fresh, seasonal flavors. We will meet in the garden to harvest ingredients, then move to the community room to create simple, delicious snacks and small bites. United Plates of America is a cooking class that celebrates the diverse flavors and culinary traditions found across the United States. Participants will explore popular regional dishes while learning practical techniques and culinary insights that bring each recipe to life. Please note that full meals will not be prepared during class, so we recommend eating lunch beforehand.

Celebrate your love of chocolate! This class invites everyone to explore the rich and versatile world of chocolate through hands-on learning, tasting, and creativity in the kitchen. Each session focuses on building confidence and discovering new ways to work with chocolate, from simple treats to impressive desserts. This inclusive class is designed for all skill levels and encourages collaboration, curiosity, and a spirit of indulgence.

Explore painting, drawing, and collaging in one creative space. Experiment with colors, textures, and materials to make unique pieces while having fun and unleashing your imagination.
This inclusive class will be led by Kit Demirdelen, an art therapist who has experience working with individuals with a wide range of emotional, cognitive and physical abilities.

Step into the spotlight and discover how fun and empowering theater can be! In this high-energy supportive space, we’ll play acting games, dive into improv, sing, and move our bodies. For this session, students will help choose their favorite pop songs to bring to life. The class will culminate in a lively showcase for family, friends, and the community on April 23.

In this fun, midday cooking group, participants prepare and enjoy healthy lunches while developing executive functioning, recipe-following, fine motor, kitchen safety, and independent living skills. Emphasis is placed on following multistep directions, visual-spatial organization, teamwork, and cleaning up as part of daily life skill practice.
