Pop-up Shop: Sleepy Hollow Bookshop

Tuesday, March 21 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Join us to purchase a great selection of children’s books curated from the local bookshop Sleepy Hollow Bookshop.

About the Founder

After 15 years of living in Sleepy Hollow and listening to residents’ desire for a local place to buy children’s books and a place to gather, Leah Bloom decided to combine both ideas in the Sleepy Hollow Bookshop. It has been a longtime dream of hers to run a shop that centers on community and connects children and teens with reading. Previously, Leah worked for 10 years as a librarian at SUNY Purchase. Before attending graduate school to become a librarian, Leah worked in the business world as an environmental consultant. Leah and her husband Doug moved to Sleepy Hollow in 2006 after attending a wedding locally and deciding this was the place to be. They still live in Sleepy Hollow, now with their two boys and one somewhat sneaky dog, Kona. You can find the boys’ (and their friends’) favorite books highlighted in the store. Leah and Doug now believe even more that Sleepy Hollow is the place to be, especially the awesome Bookshop at 95 Beekman Ave.
