Important Pool Alert: The small pool is temporarily closed due to a mechanical issue. We are awaiting a replacement part and hope to reopen the pool as soon as possible. We will notify members when it reopens. The large pool remains open. Facility Improvement Update: We uncovered additional work during the renovation of the ladies' locker room, so the showers and sauna will now reopen on Monday, July 27. The rest of the locker room will remain open, and the family changing room shower will continue to be available. Thank you for your patience.

Tour the Rockefeller Peonies

Tuesday, May 12 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

FREE for members and nonmembers + parking

To celebrate spring, we’re planning a visit to see, smell, and learn about the beautiful peonies at Rockefeller State Park Preserve, which were gifted by Japan in the wake of 9/11. Head gardener M. Evelyn Hadad will give a short talk about the history of these remarkable peonies as we enjoy them.

After our visit we’ll go to DeCiccos, 1 Legend Drive in Sleepy Hollow for lunch (buy on your own).

NOTE ON TRANSPORTATION: If you’re driving, park in the main parking area at 125 Phelps Way, Pleasantville, NY 10570, just off Route 117. The group will meet at the visitor center adjacent to the parking lot. Adults 62 who are NY residents can park for free by scanning your drivers license at the pay station. Otherwise parking is $6 per vehicle. Interested in carpooling from the JCC? Email cjacobs@shamesjcc.org!
