SUMMARY:Tour the Rockefeller Peonies
DESCRIPTION:FREE for members and nonmembers + parking \nTo celebrate spring\, we’re planning a visit to see\, smell\, and learn about the beautiful peonies at Rockefeller State Park Preserve\, which were gifted by Japan in the wake of 9/11. Head gardener M. Evelyn Hadad will give a short talk about the history of these remarkable peonies as we enjoy them. \nAfter our visit we’ll go to DeCiccos\, 1 Legend Drive in Sleepy Hollow for lunch (buy on your own). \nNOTE ON TRANSPORTATION: If you’re driving\, park in the main parking area at 125 Phelps Way\, Pleasantville\, NY 10570\, just off Route 117. The group will meet at the visitor center adjacent to the parking lot. Adults 62 who are NY residents can park for free by scanning your drivers license at the pay station.
