Challenging Time, Ageless Insights: Reproductive Rights: it’s not just about abortion

November 4, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

“Challenging Times, Ageless Insights” offers participants the opportunity to engage with clergy in exploring contemporary issues through a Jewish lens. These discussions will provide insights, debate, and if we are successful, even more questions.

This month will feature Rabbi David Holtz of Temple Beth Abraham: From Judaism’s very beginning, the issue of reproduction has been very down to earth, and also deeply connected with God and spirituality. Our tradition has always acknowledged that women do and should have a powerful voice when it comes to sexuality and their own bodies. We’ll explore the sometimes surprising views of the otherwise very male-centric rabbis, and discuss how they do and do not apply to reproductive rights today.
