Lifeguard Training (Full Course)

Lifeguard Training (Full Course) Ages 15+*

Members: $475; non-members: $500

Become an American Red Cross certified lifeguard! This course teaches the skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies plus provide professional care for breathing, cardiac, and other first-aid situations.

If you’re looking for a job in a supportive and fun environment that allows you to draw on your love of water,  this is the perfect first step!

Lifeguard Certification Prerequisites
  • Complete all blended learning before day one.
  • Swim 300 yards, continuously using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both.
  • Tread water for 2 minutes, using only the legs.
    Complete a timed water rescue event within 1 minute, 40 seconds.
Certification Requirements

To successfully complete the lifeguarding course, candidates must:

  • Full attendance and active participation
  • Demonstrate competency in all required skills.
  • Pass the final skills scenarios.
  • Successfully pass final written exams with a minimum grade of 80%. One retest is allowed.
