Lifeguard Training (Full Course) Ages 15+*

Become an American Red Cross certified lifeguard! This course teaches the skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies plus provide professional care for breathing, cardiac, and other first-aid situations.

February Break Session
Monday, 2/16 from 12:00–8:00 pm
Tuesday, 2/17 from 12:00–8:00 pm
Wednesday, 2/18 from 12:00–8:00 pm
Lifeguard Certification Prerequisites
- Complete all blended learning before day one.
- Swim 300 yards, continuously using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both.
- Tread water for 2 minutes, using only the legs.
Complete a timed water rescue event within 1 minute, 40 seconds.
Certification Requirements
To successfully complete the lifeguarding course, candidates must:
- Full attendance and active participation
- Demonstrate competency in all required skills.
- Pass the final skills scenarios.
- Successfully pass final written exams with a minimum grade of 80%. One retest is allowed.
