Bus Driver
Roll with the Shames JCC and the BEST bus-driving gig in town!
The Shames JCC is a welcoming, inclusive community center conveniently located in Tarrytown and we are hiring drivers for our mini school buses to transport students from local schools to our on-site after-care programs and for summer camp.

Requirements / Qualifications:
- CDL B or CDL C license
- S & P endorsements
- Certificate of qualifying physical examination
- Background check
- School or camp bus-driving experience preferred
- Reliable and punctual
- Good communication skills
- Patient and calm in noisy and/or busy environments
Responsibilities:
- Operate a mini school bus on a regular schedule, in varying weather and road conditions
- Conduct pre-trip & post-trip bus inspections; regularly check operating condition
- Maintain records of travel days/ times, and mileage
- Keep the bus clean and tidy; report maintenance needs to designated JCC staff
- Maintain good knowledge of driving safety practices, traffic laws & regulations
- Inform staff and students about safety practices
- Engage in regular and timely communication with designated JCC staff regarding schedules, students, and other transportation issues that may arise
- Get along well with students and staff
Pay Rate: $25-30 per hour based on experience
