Assist Teacher: Arts Classes
Looking for a fun and rewarding way to spend your afternoons? Join our JCC After School team, where you’ll help create an engaging, active, and welcoming environment for children ages 3–12. Assist teachers support our lead instructors during classes with material set up and clean up and classroom management. You’ll also take attendance and supervise transitions (like bathroom breaks), and ensure kids get safely to their adults at pick-up.
If you have a passion for working with children and want experience working in arts education, this is the perfect role for you! We’re looking for responsible, enthusiastic team players who love working with kids—especially future educators, artists and childcare professionals.
- Pay Range: $20-22 per hour
- Hours: Weekdays during school year—multiple positions are available and schedules can vary from 2:30 pm–6 pm. Please specify which days of the week you will be available starting in September.
- Location: Shames JCC on the Hudson (425 S. Broadway, Tarrytown, NY)
