The Butterfly Project

Come connect with others while participating in a meaningful remembrance project.

The Butterfly Project is a global program that uses the lessons of the Holocaust to recall the dangers of hatred and bigotry though the painting of ceramic butterflies to memorialize each of the 1.5 million children that perished in the Holocaust. Bring your creativity and have fun painting ceramic butterflies – and know that you are a part of a global memorial symbolizing renewed life. You do not need any background in art to participate.

Your butterflies will be displayed as part of a future installment at the Shames JCC. To see installations from communities all over the world, please visit here.

This program is free and open to ALL ADULTS. Space is limited – all participants must register!
