Pete Seeger’s Legacy in Song with Robert Cohen

Folk singer Pete Seeger impacted the world with traditional folk songs, songs of activism and protest, songs from around the world and his own anthems of affirmation. Robert Cohen, an accomplished speaker, has been lecturing on American folk and popular music for over a quarter of a century and will share his vast knowledge and experiences working with Pete Seeger in this fascinating presentation filled with songs and stories.

About the Presenter: Robert Cohen has spoken at the Fifth Avenue New York Public Library, the New England Conservatory of Music, New School University,  Boston College’s Center for Christian-Jewish Learning, the Afro-American Historical and Cultural Museum in Philadelphia, and the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York.  For many years he was one of the most sought-after speakers in the New York Council for the Humanities Speakers in the Humanities and Speakers in the Schools programs.
