Lecture: Cyd Charisse – Her Life and Work

Cyd Charisse was an American dancer and actress who entered films in the 1940s. Often paired with Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly, her films include Singin’ in the Rain, The Band Wagon, Brigadoon, and Silk Stockings. Today’s program will be enhanced with film clips. Presenter Edith Glass is an Adjunct Professor at Westchester Community College who danced for Balanchine and Tudor.
