Devotion, Luck, and Fortitude: A Holocaust Survival Story

November 11, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Shelley Greenspan always knew that her parents survived the Holocaust and took her job as a “Memory Keeper” seriously. But it wasn’t until she traveled to Eastern Europe this past summer that she truly understood her parents’ experiences during the war and their struggles to rebuild a life afterwards. Join us for an intimate talk about their lives and the effect on Shelley’s own life.

About the presenter: Since retiring from a career in international banking, Shelley became a speaker with the Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center presenting her parents’ stories to local high and middle school students. She lives in Irvington with her husband and is a member of the Shames JCC.
