The founders of the USA understood how important it was and would be for there to be no state-sanctioned religion and free access to religious rituals of choice for all.  Living in 21st century America, this bedrock principle seems to be of a bygone era.  We will unpack the founder’s thinking and the current state of affairs, and consider how Jewish wisdom might help us understand the time we live in.
