Part of the Renard Lecture Series

Join author Rosyln Rothstein for a fascinating look at her family’s extraordinary journey from the shtetls of war-torn Belarus to New York City. Bubby’s Stories chronicles seven generations of a Jewish immigrant family – from late 1800s Russia, across the European continent, to immigration through Ellis Island, assimilation into American life, and the family’s place in 20th-century New York, these true stories are by turns poignant, funny, surprising, and heartbreaking. Through these deeply personal stories, Rothstein brings to life the Jewish immigrant experience and the remarkable ways family history is passed from one generation to the next.
