Join acclaimed author June Hersh for a moving evening exploring the remarkable stories behind Food, Hope & Resilience: Authentic Recipes and Remarkable Stories from Holocaust Survivors.
Drawing from the experiences of more than 100 Holocaust survivors, Hersh shares stories of daring partisans, hidden children, and those who endured unimaginable internment—and explores how food became a powerful connection to family, culture, and the lives they knew before the war.
Through cherished recipes, survivors preserved memories and traditions while creating new homes and lives after the war. The book, with a foreword by renowned chef Daniel Boulud, also features recipes from culinary icons including Michael Solomonov, Jonathan Waxman, Ina Garten, and others, contributed in tribute to the survivor community.
Join us for an unforgettable evening of storytelling, history, food, memory, and hope, followed by an audience Q&A. Wine and dessert will be served.
