The Shames JCC is honored to present a series of thoughtfully curated exhibitions celebrating the creativity of our community. Through painting, photography, drawing, printmaking, and mixed media, artists explore themes of place, identity, and connection. From artistic explorations to contemporary dialogue and the inclusive spirit of our annual Community Art Exhibition, these programs highlight the diverse artistic voices that shape and reflect our region.

Artists aged 18 have their work displayed in the halls for all members to see and enjoy. The art show allows local artists, from amateur to professional, a chance to share and celebrate their work. We will accept all work as space allows.
Exhibition Dates: April 2026–September 2026
Submission Deadline September 1, 2026
Exhibition Dates: October 2026–December 2026
Join the Shames JCC in a celebration of light and all the ways it shows up in our lives, literally and figuratively. We invite artists to submit work that evokes themes of light, warmth, fire, growth, duality, energy, sparkle and solstice.
What does light mean to you?
Works can be abstract or representational and in any two-dimensional medium, including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, and collage. A small committee will select pieces for inclusion in this exhibition.
