About the Presenter: Andrea Kott earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California–Berkeley and her master’s from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. She writes about public health for global and national nonprofits, public health schools, and academic medical centers, and has published work in The New York Times, Lilith Magazine, The Journal of the American Medical Association, and literary journals. Andrea also teaches English as a Second Language to immigrants and refugees. She and husband Erik live in Sleepy Hollow and have two grown children.
