3 out of 4 of our men’s locker room showers are currently down for repair. We hope to have the issue resolved quickly and appreciate your patience. The cafe will be closed April 1-9. Kosher-for-Passover items will be available in the lobby fridge. Also, the J will close at 3:00pm (pool closed at 2:30pm) on Wed, April 1 and remain closed on Thursday, April 2 for Passover.

Pickleball Open Play (ages 15+)

Members: $5 (until 4/5; new rate effective 4/6 is $7)
Non-members: $10 (until 4/5; new rate effective 4/6 is $15)

Priority member reservations open six days* in advance on GroupEx. If you have not yet used GroupEx for reservations, please see the directions for setting up your account here.

Non-members are first-come, first-served. Sign up an hour before the class begins at the front desk. Please bring your own equipment as supplies are very limited.

LATE POLICY: If you have registered for a spot, it will be held until 10 minutes after start time, after which we open up to the wait list.

*Effective for the week of 4/6 sign up is four (4) days in advance of the session.

OPEN SOCIAL PLAY

  • Open to all levels
  • All courts are considered equal and participants must be willing to play with any paired partner

BEGINNER

  • Must know how to keep score
  • Able to dink, drive forehand/backhand, serve, and volley with some consistency
  • Understand positioning
  • Communicate with partner

ADVANCED

  • Can perform all of above skill with more consistency and placement
  • Can move to non-volley zone quickly
  • Developing 3rd shot-drop and soft-game
  • Begins to recognize opponents’ strengths and weaknesses

COMPETITIVE

  • Mastered all of above with greater consistency
  • Designed for highly skilled and athletically adept players
