Teens, ages 13 – 18, can build strong bones and lean muscle.  Both of these will serve them well later in life as strong bones are less likely to fracture and lean muscle burns calories at a higher rate than other muscles.  This can lead to a healthier self-image and a better life outlook.  Additionally, youth who exercise experience better sleep, enabling them to better cope with daily challenges, both mental and physical.  Establishing healthy habits prior to adulthood increases the chances of carrying them through life. Exercising during teenage years lays a foundation for future health.  Exercise with us at the JCC!

Our Fitness Center is open to people ages 15 & up but we now have special hours for teens ages 13 & 14 as well.

Monday-Thursday 3:00 – 6:00 PM
Friday 3:00 – 6:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday 2:00 – 6:00 PM

All teens 13 & 14 must attend an orientation with a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian must be present in the Fitness Center during workouts.

“No-Off” Season Training

Ages 14-18
Welcome to the JCC’s newest small group training specialty program – “No-Off” Season Training for our Rivertowns athletes. Work with one or all of our 3 experienced trainers and maintain conditioning for your upcoming sports season.

Sign up for the number of times you want to train per week; once per week, 3 days per week, or 5 days per week. From there, the choice is yours. You can consistently train the same day each week or rotate across the options in our schedule. All of our trainers are outstanding.

Start Date: June 24
Mondays: 1:00 PM- 2 PM: Sports Conditioning with Joe Cruz
Tuesdays: 9:00 AM- 10:00 AM: Plyometrics with Mickey Carey
Wednesdays: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Total Body Stability with Eric De La Cruz
Thursdays: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Plyometrics with Mickey Carey (no class on July 4)
10 Fridays: 2:00 PM -3:00 PM – Sports Conditioning with Joe Cruz

1x per week – $150 for 10 weeks
3x per week – $375 for 10 weeks
5x per week – $500 for 10 weeks
1:1 Personal Training is also available.

Personal Training

Ages 15-Adult

MES (Medical Exercise Specialist) Training

Ages 15-Adult
Medical Exercise Specialists have the knowledge and skills to work with clients with a wide range of medical conditions and require “medical exercise” or post-rehab exercise. Clients who have been referred to a fitness professional after completion of a rehabilitation program can work with a MES to tailor a fitness program to their particular medical condition. Our MES’s are trained to develop safe and effective conditioning programs for clients with musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, neurological or metabolic disorders.

One-hour sessions may be purchased in packages of 5 or 10, or as single-sessions.
