Small Group Training

Designed for Shames JCC Members only, Small Group Training is a fun, motivational, and challenging and is an effective way to reach your goals. Each session focuses on a specialized format designed with the knowledge and expertise to motivate you in a small group setting. Yoga Fundamentals

Tuesdays: July 9, 16, 23
Time: 5:45 – 7:00 PM
For newbies and those wishing to go back to the basics. This three week series will help provide you with a solid foundation in basic and essential yoga poses. Each class will build on the prior class. The focus will be on proper alignment with modifications as needed.

Core Flow

Thursdays: July 11, 18, 25
Time: 5:45 – 7:00 PM
This challenging Vinyasa series blends core strengthening exercises with yoga. Throughout each class the sequencing will incorporate many blocks of strengthening which will continually challenge you throughout the series. By the end of this program you will have more strength to progress into a more advanced Vinyasa practice.

Personal Training

90 Day Fitness Challenge

The Shames JCC turns 90 in April! Celebrate by joining us for a fun-filled, 90-Day sports & fitness challenge
Goal: Complete 90 minutes of exercise each week for 90 days? Do you have it in you?Rules:

  • Must Complete 90 minutes per week
  • Log progress daily
  • All activities must take place at the Shames JCC

Complete the challenge and win a prize of your choosing: Master swim session, swim lesson, personal training, small group training, nutrition consultation, basketball lesson, gymnastic lesson, and more!

MES (Medical Exercise Specialist) Training

Ages 15-Adult

Medical Exercise Specialists have the knowledge and skills to work with clients with a wide range of medical conditions and require “medical exercise” or post-rehab exercise. Clients who have been referred to a fitness professional after completion of a rehabilitation program can work with a MES to tailor a fitness program to their particular medical condition. Our MES’s are trained to develop safe and effective conditioning programs for clients with musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, neurological or metabolic disorders.

One-hour sessions may be purchased in packages of 5 or 10, or as single-sessions.
