With Challenge Island’s unparalleled approach, family fun reaches new heights! Challenge Island is where engineering meets imagination, offering hands-on project-based learning where participants, young and young-at-heart, cultivate 21st century skills.
On Family Fun Night, your whole crew gets in on the action. Families will work together in tribes (teams) to tackle STEAM challenges using everyday materials. From designing roller coasters to building water pipelines to creating your very own mini golf fairway, each challenge will cultivate collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking skills among your family members.
So try one challenge and then sign-up again and again! The party-like atmosphere will be felt throughout the program and crescendos at the end when tribes proudly present their creations at the closing tribal council.

At the JCC, Challenge Island is led by Stacey Piken and Jill Schantz. Stacey and Jill are experienced educators with multiple masters degrees. They are co-owners of Challenge Island – Central and Northern Westchester. We are thrilled they are part of our JCC team!
