Mixed-Media Creations with Renee Shamosh

Learn a new technique each week using a variety of materials including colored pencil, pastel, and collage.  No fine art or drawing skills or previous experience is necessary. Renee Shamosh is a multi-media artist with over 30 years of art teaching experience.  As a high school chairperson of communication and fine arts, she collaborated with artists specializing in painting, sculpture, ceramics, and photography.  An avid gardener, Renee uses elements of nature as inspiration in her work.

Create Bead Woven Jewelry with Amy Kanarek

Rekindle your creativity as you learn the basic stitches for making stunning jewelry with colorful glass beads. Amy will guide you as you explore this limitless art form! Participants can progress from beginner to advanced intermediate with a particular stitch. Each project will build on the skills acquired in the previous project.
Amy Kanarek designs and sells beadwork she crafts by appointment, at craft shows, at fundraising events, and online. She teaches bead weaving workshops in local libraries, at community centers, and privately.

Acrylics on Wood with Angela Lee

Try your hand at drawing and painting in this class for all levels of experience. Participants will learn basic drawing and color mixing, and will receive a sound foundation in acrylic techniques and composition. Join this class to express yourself and develop artistic skills.
Angela Lee majored in fine art in South Korea. She works in and teaches acrylic, watercolor, drawing pencil, and oil paints. Her work has been exhibited at the Verdi Art & Music Academy in New Jersey.

Wonders in Watercolor with Renee Shamosh

Take the mystery out of watercolor painting in a fun and relaxed setting. Young adults and those young at heart, from ages 16 to 99, at all levels of experience, are welcome. Classes will focus on each student’s personal needs and goals, and will include demonstration, painting and review.

Renew and Re-imagine Textiles with Linda Paver

Give clothes a new lease on life. Re-imagine and craft handmade treasures by using your unique creativity to reinvent textiles into clothing, accessories, and art. Design, cut, sew, glue, unravel, and embellish. Examples will be provided for inspiration. Explore the beauty found in turning the old new again and support sustainability whih is the philosophy of Eileen Fisher, Inc. Eileen Fisher, Inc. and community members generously donated the clothing and trimmings that will be used in these workshops.

Polymer Clay – Buttoning up with Renee Shamosh

Create your own one-of-a-kind buttons using polymer clay. Lien up an old garment with your new creations. This workshop will include all materials you need to finish your pieces.

Handcrafted Gourd Vases with Beth Kane

After learning how a gourd is transformed from a vegetable to a vase, with step-by-step instruction, you will artistically transform your own prepared gourd into a piece of art using wood-burning and ink/paint techniques either free-form or with the assistance of stencils or stick-n-burn image transfers, as you wish. “Take home” supplies will be provided for students who are unable to complete their gourd in the time allotted. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn a specialized craft.
Beth Kane is a lifelong wood, gourd and fiber crafter full dedicated to animal rescue and welfare. With a passion for color, texture, and all living things, she creates lush jewelry, accessories, and home goods, while applying all profits to support the needs of the many rescued animals on her small farm, including dogs, cats, horses, and one hilarious house rabbit. While her art funds the animals, the animals, in turn, fuel her art and are her greatest inspiration.
