The Director of Youth and Teen Engagement is a member of the JCC professional staff and partners with leaders across all areas of the JCC to bring their vision of the department to life. Primarily, the Director of Youth and Teen Engagement is responsible for the JCC’s Almost Home program which provides after-care for school-age children. In this capacity, the Director oversees and manages the JCC’s safe, caring, engaging, and professionally supervised after-school program, offering age-appropriate activities in an educational, recreational, and social setting. This position works within the framework of the total agency and includes the supervision of youth, teens, and staff. This is a full-time position with days and hours based on the program schedule. Medical, Vacation, Sick, and Holiday Benefits available after 90 days.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Elementary or Pre-school Education and 5+ years of experience in a related field.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
A team player, with the ability and willingness to accept management direction, and to interact with others, inclusive of program participants and their parents/caregivers, members and visitors, in a friendly, engaging and consummately professional manner
A strong track record of consistently providing excellence in childcare service
Supervisory/management experience
CPR, AED & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
Strong conflict resolution skills
Punctuality and reliability
Adaptable and flexible management style
Comfort and ability to supervise and manage others of varying ages and abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Computer savvy
Upon acceptance of employment, ability and willingness to undergo and pass all background and other checks required under law, such as OCFS, SEL, SCR checks, TB screen, etc.
