Important Changes to our Reservation System

Since we opened over the summer, our goal has been to be as accommodating to as many members and guests as possible, while keeping our community safe with strict COVID-19 prevention protocols in place. When we relaunched our reservation system and technology earlier in the fall, we were happy that members adapted quickly and gave us valuable insights on how the system was working (and not working) for them.

As a result of this feedback, we are switching to a 24-hour reservation system for Lap Swim, Self-led Aquatics Exercise, Group Fitness, and Fitness Center. It will take effect on Sunday, November 15. This new system will keep spots open and allow members to reserve when they know they are available to come to the J. No more guessing at the week ahead and no more late cancellations. (Note: this policy does not apply to programs and special events that are not included in the all-inclusive membership).

Details:

  1. Beginning Sunday, November 8, members will no longer be able to book reservation times for the following week (week of November 15). Spots will open up 24 hours in advance of the reservation time.
  2. For reservations today and through the week of November 8, members can still book up to one week in advance.
  3. If you must cancel, cancellations must be made at least 2 hours in advance. Be mindful that there are people on the waiting list and if the spot opens late, they may not be able to rework their schedules to take advantage of the opened spot. Penalties will incur if late cancellations and no-shows are frequent.
    Please be reminded that you can only register for ONE program per day, (excluding personal training, private swim lessons, and Aqua Cycle, and Fitness Center which can be combined with other programs) and you are limited to registering for 3 days of the same program per week. So for example, you cannot register for a Lap Swim and Group Ex yoga class on the same day and you can only register for 3 Lap Swims per week—but you can enjoy the Fitness Center and a Lap Swim on the same day. You may register for a different program on the other two days, however.
